  • 1 burger bun
  • 1 slice(s) Cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp barbecue sauce
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise (chili mayonnaise), homemade
  • 2 slice(s) onion(s), red
  • 5 tbsp balsamic vinegar, dark

  • 2 slice(s) tomato(s)
  • 1 lettuce leaf
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp clarified butter
  • 1 tsp sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Juicy – just as it should be.

Form two large patties from the unseasoned mince. Make a well in one of the patties. Finely slice the cheese slices and place them inside. Shape the other patty into a ball and place it on top of the cheese-covered patty like a lid. Brown the finished patty in hot clarified butter for four minutes on each side. Slice the onions into rings and fry in butter until translucent. Season with pepper and salt and caramelize with a spoonful of sugar. When browned enough, deglaze with the balsamic vinegar and set aside. Fry the bacon in butter until crispy and drain on kitchen paper. Toast the burger buns. Spread the barbecue sauce on the bottom bun. Place a lettuce leaf on top of the meat and cheese patty. Add the tomatoes, then the onions and bacon. Spread the chili mayonnaise on top of the bun and place it on top of the burger.
