Thomas' spelt bread from the air fryer

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g spelt flour
  • 1 packet of dry yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp bread spice mix (optional)
  • 330 ml water, lukewarm, approx.
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • pepper
  • Salt
  • sesame
  • Oil for the mold
  • Flour for the work surface

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 47 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 32 minutes

Knead together the flour, yeast, sugar, salt, and, if desired, bread spice, and water. First on a low speed, then on a fast speed. Add 1 tbsp of oil and continue kneading well. Cover and let rise for 1 hour. Knead the dough by hand on a mottled surface. Grease the basket of the appliance (in my case, a Ninja AF400EU), add the dough, and let rise, covered, for another 30 minutes. Brush the dough with water and sprinkle with sesame seeds, salt, and pepper. Bake at 170°C for approx. 47 minutes. Select the Bake function. Turn after 30 minutes to ensure the underside also gets some color. Let cool on a wire rack before slicing.
