Thyme potatoes

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g potatoes (raw, can be peeled or unpeeled)
  • 3 tbsp butter, melted
  • 2 tbsp thyme, freshly chopped, or 1 tbsp dried
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder, for dusting
  • Butter, for greasing

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Cut the potatoes into approximately 1 cm thick slices and pre-cook them in boiling salted water for 5-7 minutes; they should still be firm. Remove them with a slotted spoon and drain well. Line a baking sheet with greased aluminum foil and arrange the potato slices next to each other, without overlapping. Brush the potato slices with melted butter and sprinkle with thyme, salt, and pepper. Bake under the preheated oven on the middle rack for 15 minutes, turn, and bake for another 15 minutes. Sprinkle with paprika at the end. These potatoes are originally intended as a side dish, but with a dip and salad they can also be served as a quick main course or for dinner.
