Tightened Marinated Chicken Legs

  • 2 Chicken drumsticks
  • 1 Red Chilli, roughly cut
  • 5 Garlic cloves, roughly chopped
  • 70 ml Ketjap Manis
  • 30 ml Light soy sauce
  • 200 g Pureed tomatoes
  • 3 tbsp Palm sugar
  • 1,5 Limes, the juice
  • 1 tsp Sambal Oelek
  • 1 tsp Sambal Manis
  • 2 tbsp Neutral oil
  1. Put all the ingredients for the marinade in a tall container and purée finely with the hand blender. Put the chicken pieces in a baking dish and pour the marinade over them and leave to marinate in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours, it is better if you let everything marinate overnight. Turn the chicken pieces every now and then.
  2. The next day, preheat the oven to 180 degrees and simply place the casserole dish in the oven and bake for about 45 – 60 minutes, pouring the marinade over the chicken parts from time to time, and set the grill level for the last 10 minutes of the cooking time. And then serve.
  3. We had spicy, glazed Brussels sprouts with it.
