Toast: Wood Chopper Toast

The perfect toast: wood chopper toast recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 2 Discs Toast*
  • 1 piece Potato
  • 1 piece Fresh tomato
  • 1 piece Fresh onion
  • 20 g Finely grated mountain cheese
  • Pepper and salt
  • 2 tablespoon Extra virgin olive oil
  1. Toast the bread and place in a suitable baking dish.
  2. Peel and roughly grate the potato, remove the stem from the tomato and cut into cubes, peel the onion and cut into rings.
  3. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the grated potatoes, the tomato pieces and the onion rings. It should all be nice and brown.
  4. Spread this mixture on the toast, sprinkle the grated cheese over it and bake under the grill until the cheese has melted. Sprinkle the toast with parsley and garnish with a fresh tomato.
  5. I made an iceberg lettuce with it.
