Tofu Gyros

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250g tofu
  • 2 bell peppers
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 jar olives, pitted
  • salt and pepper
  • Spice mix (gyros spice)
  • olive oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Cut the tofu into gyro-sized pieces. Finely slice the bell pepper, onion, and olives. Heat plenty of olive oil in a pan and heat the onion and garlic (chopped or crushed). Then fry the tofu until golden brown (this may take a while depending on the tofu). Gradually add the bell pepper and olive strips. Season everything with salt, pepper, and gyro seasoning and simmer for about 5-10 minutes. Tastes great with tzatziki and fries.
