Tofu Planters

The perfect tofu planters recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 250 g Tofu
  • 150 g Dumpling bread
  • 200 g Lowfat quark
  • Breadcrumbs
  • Milk
  • 1 Onion
  • Parsely
  • Salt, pepper, curry powder, soy sauce
  • Olive oil
  1. First cut the onion into small pieces and sauté lightly in a little olive oil. Then cut the parsley into small pieces and sauté.
  1. Soak dumpling bread with a little milk and place in a bowl with the quark, onion / parsley. Grate the tofu with a grater and add it as well. Now season the mixture with salt, pepper, curry powder and a little soy sauce. Mix the whole thing with breadcrumbs, so that a well malleable dough is formed. The dough shouldn’t be too sticky or too dry.
  1. Now form small “planters” and place on a baking sheet. Bake on top / bottom heat for around 25 minutes at approx. 180 degrees. Turn occasionally. Alternatively, you can fry the planters in a pan with olive oil. The method of preparation in the oven is definitely a little lower in calories.
