Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 turkey schnitzels
  • 2 tomatoes, firm
  • 1 pack of cheese, sliced
  • 6 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 bottle of Cremefine, for cooking
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 2 tbsp ajvar
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • Seasoned salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Preheat the oven to 200°C (top/bottom heat) or 180°C (fan-assisted). For the sauce, finely dice the onion and fry. Mix the tomato paste, crème fraîche, sour cream, and ajvar in a bowl. Add the onions, season with salt, pepper, and paprika, and pour into a casserole dish. Pound the turkey cutlets, season with salt and pepper, and fry briefly in a pan until light brown. Then place them from the pan directly into the sauce in the casserole dish. Cut the tomatoes into approximately 0.5cm thick slices, top the cutlets with them, and season with seasoning salt if desired. Finally, place the cheese slices on top of the tomatoes and bake in the oven for about 15-20 minutes. When the cheese starts to bubble brown, the casserole is ready. Serve with fries or rice and a green salad.
