In a blender, combine the tomato paste and passata with salt, pepper, and paprika powder to taste. If desired, blend a few pieces of bell pepper in a food processor until puree and add (be careful, it’s hot). Toast the bread in the oven at 200 degrees Celsius (400 degrees Fahrenheit) for a few minutes. Remove when slightly crispy. Spread with the tomato and bell pepper mixture and top with bell peppers, onions, and either ham or salami (both cut into strips). Finally, sprinkle with grated cheese. Bake in the oven at 175 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit) until the cheese has melted.
