Tomato cream sauce for pasta

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 200 ml whipped cream
  • 200 g tomato paste
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • olive oil
  • salt and pepper
  • n. B. Herbs (e.g. herbs of Provence, oregano, basil, rosemary etc.)

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Peel and finely dice the garlic cloves (do not press). Place them in a saucepan with the olive oil and heat over medium heat. Peel and dice the onion, and add it to the pan as soon as the oil bubbles (but be careful not to let the garlic brown). Combine the garlic and onion and sauté over high heat. Then deglaze with the cream, add the tomato paste, and stir everything together. Season with salt, pepper, and herbs, and let simmer for a while longer. Serve with pasta of your choice and Parmesan cheese.
