  • 2 large tomatoes
  • 2 balls of mozzarella
  • 1 bunch of basil
  • some herb butter
  • 1 garlic clove(s), pressed

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

ideal as a barbecue side dish, with salad, as a quick starter or as a snack

Cut the baguette into slices, spread with herb butter, and sprinkle some of the garlic on each slice. Thinly slice the tomatoes and mozzarella (using an egg slicer works well for mozzarella). For each slice of bread, tear a basil leaf from the bunch. Place one or two (depending on the size) tomato slices, a basil leaf, and two slices of mozzarella on each slice of bread. Place the bread on the grill (on the edge) or under the oven grill until the cheese begins to melt slightly.
