Tomato sauce for meatballs

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • some flour
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 70 g tomato paste
  • e.g. water, hot
  • 3 tbsp celery leaves, chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Combine oil and flour in a pan and make a roux. Lightly brown the roux. Remove the pan from the heat (otherwise lumps will form), add the tomato paste and water, and mix well. Bring to a boil briefly. Add the celery leaves, if desired, before serving. This goes very well with meatballs (minced meat).
