Tomato sauce made from fresh tomatoes: A simple recipe
Use a tomato sauce made from fresh tomatoes for a pasta dish, casserole, or pizza topping. You will need 75 grams of onions, a kilo of tomatoes, 30 milliliters of oil, and three cloves of garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Peel and chop the onions into small cubes. Put oil in a saucepan. The bottom of the pot should be covered. Add the onion pieces. Sauté the latter a little over medium heat. They should be soft and yellow gold.
- Cut the garlic cloves into small pieces and wash the tomatoes. Add the garlic to the pot as well and sauté until it smells nice.
- Chop the washed tomatoes into small cubes and then add the pieces to the pot. Mash the tomato pieces in the saucepan.
- Bring the mixture to a boil first and then simmer for about 25 minutes, stirring constantly.
- If the sauce is too thick, you can add a little more water. After 25 minutes, it should taste fruity and sweet. Season these with salt and pepper.
- Finally, boil everything again and add the rest of the oil. Mix in the oil until you get a creamy consistency.
- If you want, you can puree the sauce again to make it even smoother.
