Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 3 tomatoes
  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 3 tbsp, heaped Gouda, finely grated
  • salt and pepper
  • Parsley

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 5 minutes

Ukrainian antipasti – ideal with grilled meat

Press the garlic into the mayo and stir well. Cut the tomatoes into approximately 5 mm thick slices and arrange on a serving plate. Lightly season with salt and pepper, spread with the garlic mayo, and sprinkle with finely grated cheese. Garnish with parsley and serve immediately. Tip: I prepare the garlic mayo the day before and let it sit in the refrigerator until well combined, then stir again before spreading. The mayo in this recipe can also be replaced with crème fraîche, but garlic is a must. Tomatoes with garlic mayo are a hit at any barbecue!
