super delicious cinnamon stars that everyone can make
In a bowl, whisk together the ground almonds, sifted powdered sugar, and cinnamon. Add the egg whites (not beaten!!!) and almond liqueur, and mix everything using a hand mixer fitted with the dough hook. Then knead by hand until you have a smooth dough. Roll out the dough in portions on a work surface dusted with powdered sugar to a thickness of about 1 cm. Now cut out stars and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. If the dough sticks to the cutter, dip it in powdered sugar every now and then. Then beat the egg whites until stiff, gradually adding the powdered sugar while continuing to beat. Brush the stars with the egg white mixture and bake in a preheated oven at 150°C (fan oven) for about 10-15 minutes (or until the egg whites begin to brown). This amount makes about 100 cinnamon stars, depending on the thickness of the rolled-out dough. If the dough sticks too much to the work surface, you can also roll it out between two layers of cling film. Allow the baked cinnamon stars to cool completely and then store them in containers.
