Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 500 g brown rock sugar
- 300 ml water
- 3 vanilla pods

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
with extra vanilla
Combine the rock candy and water in a saucepan. Scrape out the seeds from the vanilla pods and add them to the rock candy. Add the scraped pods as well. Heat everything over high heat until the rock candy dissolves. Once dissolved, the consistency should be syrupy. If not, simply simmer a little longer. Then pour everything into two hot, rinsed jars (including the vanilla pods) and briefly cover. Tastes great in coffee, tea, ice cream, cookies, cakes, yogurt, quark, cream, etc.
