Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g minced beef
  • 5 m.-sized eggs
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 m.-large onion(s), diced
  • 2 tomatoes, diced
  • salt and pepper
  • oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

Filipino meat omelet

Heat the oil and fry the garlic. Add the onions and tomatoes and fry for a few minutes until the tomatoes are mushy. Add the ground beef and fry until crumbly. Season with salt and pepper. Let the ground beef cool to room temperature and mix with the eggs. Heat the oil in a pan and add the ground beef mixture in batches, frying for about 2-3 minutes per side. Serve with rice or fried garlic rice and ketchup. Tip: You can also season the ground beef with a beef stock cube and add diced potatoes, bell peppers, peas, or spring onions.
