Tortellini casserole with Leberkäse

Spread the love

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 250 g tricolor tortellini
  • 3 slices of Leberkäse
  • 1 cup of Cremefine
  • 70 g tomato paste
  • 100 ml milk
  • 100 g processed cheese
  • ½ tsp salt
  • Spice(s) to taste, e.g. paprika, thyme, marjoram
  • 100 g cheese, grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

Preheat oven to 200°C (top and bottom heat). Cook the tortellini in salted or brothy water for about 12 minutes, until almost al dente, then drain. Meanwhile, fry the Leberkäse in a pan on both sides until it reaches the desired browning, then pat dry with kitchen paper. Cut the Leberkäse into small pieces and mix it with the tortellini in a baking dish. Mix the Cremefine with milk, salt, and tomato paste. Add spices to taste. I always use paprika, black pepper, thyme, and marjoram. Sprinkle with grated cheese and then bake at 200°C (400°F) for 30 minutes.
