Tortellini with peppers and thyme

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 package of tortellini from the refrigerated section
  • 2 green bell peppers
  • 2 onions
  • 1 tbsp thyme, freshly chopped
  • 1 cup of cream
  • 1 shot of white wine or white vermouth
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • salt and pepper
  • e.g. Parmesan
  • n. B. cooked ham, diced

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Prepare the tortellini according to the package instructions. Dice the onions and fry in olive oil. Trim the green bell peppers, cut them into approximately 1 cm cubes, and add them to the onions. Fry briefly until a light browning has formed. Add the thyme, deglaze with cream and white wine, bring to a boil, and simmer until the sauce reaches the desired consistency. Season the sauce with salt and pepper, toss with the tortellini, and enjoy. The dish can be enhanced with grated Parmesan cheese or with cooked ham for those who prefer a more meat-free option.
