Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g minced meat, mixed
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • some mustard
  • some herbs, Italian
  • 1 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • some Maggi
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 2 packs of tomatoes, pureed
  • 1 cup of cream
  • 1 onion(s)
  • salt and pepper
  • herbs, Italian
  • 2 packs of mozzarella

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

For the meatballs, finely chop the onion and garlic. Place in a large bowl. Add some mustard, breadcrumbs, Maggi, Italian herbs, salt, pepper, and an egg. Mix everything together. Knead the minced meat until the ingredients are well combined. Form the minced meat into small meatballs and place them in a baking dish. For the sauce, finely chop the onion. Sauté the onion in a pan with butter. Add the passata and let it simmer for a while. Season to taste with cream, salt, and pepper. Pour the sauce into the baking dish over the meatballs. Slice the mozzarella and arrange them over the meatballs. Cook in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 45 minutes. Serve with pasta or fries.
