Tuna and tomato gratin

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 8 tomatoes
  • 1 onion(s) (vegetable onion), large
  • ½ bunch thyme
  • 100 g cheese (Appenzeller), grated
  • 1 tbsp capers
  • oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper, green
  • 1 can of tuna

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Cut out the flower stalks from the tomatoes and make a cross-shaped incision in the top of the skin. Slice the onion into thin rings, chop the thyme, and drain the capers. Grease an ovenproof dish with oil and line it with half of the onion rings. Add the tomatoes and season with salt and pepper. Roughly chop the tuna and place it among the tomatoes. Mix the capers with the remaining onion rings, cheese, and thyme, and pour everything over the tomatoes. Bake in the oven at 200°C for about 15-20 minutes. Tips: Fresh baguette and red wine go well with it.
