Tuna balls

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • ½ can tuna
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 slice(s) cheese
  • 1 handful of parsley, finely chopped
  • 4 tbsp tomato paste
  • 50 g flour
  • salt and pepper
  • some sunflower oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Place the drained tuna in a bowl. Finely chop the onion and add it. Cut the cheese slice into small pieces and add it as well. Add the parsley, tomato paste, and flour and mix until smooth (add more flour if needed). Then form balls with your hands and fry them in a pan with a little sunflower oil. Note: The tomato paste serves two purposes: it replaces the egg, which is usually used, and it enhances the flavor. The 4 tablespoons is only a rough estimate. Keep in mind that tomato paste can be bitter, so it’s better to use less than more.
