Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 bunch of chives
  • 1 can tuna, in brine
  • 75 g butter, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 250 g flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 pinch of cayenne pepper
  • 125 ml milk
  • 100 g Gruyère, grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Whisk the melted butter and eggs in a bowl. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and cayenne pepper. Stir into the batter alternately with the milk. Fold in the chives, tuna, and grated cheese. Divide the batter into approximately 12 muffin tins and bake the savory muffins for approximately 20-30 minutes in an oven preheated to 200°C. Test with a skewer to make sure no liquid batter sticks to the wooden skewer. Let the muffins cool slightly before serving.
