Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp tomato paste
  • 1 can of pizza tomatoes
  • 200g spaghetti
  • 1 small jar of capers
  • 1 can of tuna in brine
  • some salt and pepper
  • Sugar
  • 3 sprigs basil

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Peel the onion and garlic and dice finely. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large saucepan. Sauté the onion and garlic until translucent. Stir in the tomato paste and sauté briefly. Add the pizza tomatoes and bring to a boil. Simmer the tomato sauce over medium heat for a few minutes. Cook the spaghetti in plenty of boiling salted water until al dente. Drain the capers and tuna and mix with the tomato sauce. Season with salt, pepper, and sugar. Roughly tear the leaves from the basil stalks. Drain the spaghetti and mix it with the tuna and tomato sauce while still dripping wet. Drizzle the tuna pasta with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and garnish with the basil.
