Tunisian sesame and honey tartlets

Spread the love

Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 8 tartlets
  • 200 g sesame seeds, light
  • 100 g hazelnuts
  • 100 g butter
  • 200 g honey
  • 3 tbsp pistachios, chopped
  • some fruit for garnishing

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Roast the sesame seeds in a dry pan until light brown, then let cool. Roast the hazelnuts in a dry pan until the skins begin to peel off. Let cool slightly, then rub off the brown skins with your palms. Any remaining skins are fine. Heat the butter and honey until the butter has dissolved. Finely chop the hazelnuts and place them in a blender with the sesame seeds. Blend well, occasionally pressing down on the top with the blender off. Slowly add the honey and butter while blending until creamy. Spread the sesame paste evenly among the tartlets and smooth down slightly. Garnish with chopped pistachios and fruit pieces. Depending on the size of the tartlets, the sesame paste will make enough for 9 servings.
