Turkey breast in red wine sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 20 g butter
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 500 g turkey breast
  • 250 ml red wine
  • 120 g plum(s), dried
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 pt. McCain PomPoms
  • some salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Season the turkey breast with salt and pepper. Peel and roughly dice the onion. Heat the oil and butter in a roasting pan and brown the turkey breast on both sides. Add the diced onion, braise briefly, and add a little water. Cook the meat in a covered pan over medium heat for about 35 minutes. Remove the turkey breast and keep warm. Puree the pan juices, pour in the red wine, and bring to a boil. Quarter the prunes, add, and heat for about 5 minutes. Season the sauce with salt, pepper, and cinnamon, and thicken with a little flour if desired. Slice the turkey breast, arrange on plates with the sauce and pom-poms, and serve. Serve with a seasonal salad.
