Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 4 turkey schnitzels
- 2 tbsp mustard
- 4 slices of Black Forest ham
- 4 slices of cheese (butter cheese)
- 1 pot of basil
- 2 tbsp clarified butter
- 150 ml apple juice
- 1 tbsp crème fraîche
- 1 tsp sauce thickener, light
- salt and pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes
With ham, cheese, basil
Flatten the schnitzels, spread with mustard, salt, and pepper. Place one slice of ham and cheese on each, along with 3-4 basil leaves. Roll up and secure with skewers. Brown on all sides in hot lard for 5 minutes. Pour in 100 ml of the juice, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes. Remove from the pan and keep warm. Pour in the remaining juice and stir in the crème fraîche. Thicken with a sauce thickener, season with salt, and pepper. Serve with apple and potato gratin and a fresh salad.
