Turkey steak with curry-honey sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 50 g butter
  • 4 turkey steaks (approx. 150 g each)
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 bunch of spring onions
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp curry paste, yellow (mild)
  • 50 ml cognac or brandy
  • 1 tsp vegetable broth
  • 250 ml milk
  • 1 tbsp honey

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Heat half the fat in a pan. Season the meat with salt and pepper and fry until golden brown on both sides. Remove and keep warm. Slice the spring onions into rings and sauté them in the remaining drippings until translucent. Remove. Dust the drippings with flour and sauté. Stir in the curry paste, cognac, 250 ml water, stock, and milk; bring to a boil. Stir the honey into the sauce and season with salt. Add the spring onions to the sauce. Return the meat to the sauce. Serve with rice.
