Turkey strips in cheese sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g turkey breast fillet(s)
  • 250 g mushrooms
  • 4 shallots
  • 30 g margarine
  • 250 ml instant broth
  • 200 g cream cheese with herbs
  • 1 tbsp sauce thickener
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • ½ bunch parsley

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Slice the fillet into thin strips. Clean and slice the mushrooms. Peel and chop the shallots, and sauté until translucent. Add the turkey breast strips to the shallots and fry briefly. Remove everything from the pan and keep warm. Deglaze the pan juices with the stock, stirring to melt the cream cheese. Bring to a boil. Thicken with a sauce thickener and season with salt, pepper, and lemon juice. Let the meat and mushrooms simmer in the sauce and sprinkle with parsley.
