Turkey strips with tomatoes and peppers

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 turkey schnitzels
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 cucumber(s) , (pickled gherkins)
  • 1 bell pepper(s), yellow
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 3 tbsp oil, for frying
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 250 ml soup
  • 125 ml cream
  • salt and pepper
  • Spice mix (grill spice)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cut the meat into strips, season with salt, pepper, and barbecue spice. Finely chop the onion, finely chop a gherkin, slice the bell pepper, remove the skin from the tomatoes, and cut them into thin wedges. Briefly fry the seasoned meat in a pan with hot oil (approx. 3-4 minutes), then remove from the pan. Roast the onion, gherkin, and bell pepper in the frying fat (approx. 3 minutes), then add the tomatoes and roast for a further 2 minutes. Dust with flour and pour in the soup. Return the meat and simmer for 5 minutes. Add the cream and bring back to a boil. Serve with pasta, rice, potatoes, or spaetzle, and a fresh salad.
