tastes good hot and cold; for barbecues, picnics and as a vegetable side dish

Peel and wash the carrots, and cut into approximately 5 cm long sticks. Heat the oil in a large pan. Fry the carrots in it and simmer with the lid closed for about 7 minutes, stirring occasionally. Peel and slice the garlic, then add it to the carrots and cook at low heat. Don’t fry it too vigorously or too darkly, or the garlic will taste bitter. The carrots should still have a bite. Season the vegetables with salt, pepper, and about 1.5 tablespoons of lemon juice. Wash the basil, spin dry, and cut into strips, then add it to the carrots and stir in.
