Spread the love

Ingredients for 12 servings:

  • 2 packs of puff pastry
  • 1 roll, from the day before
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 2 bell peppers, red and yellow
  • 50g salami
  • 200 g mushrooms
  • 1 tsp oil
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp pizza seasoning or Turkish spice
  • 500 g minced meat, mixed
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 egg(s), including the yolk

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Thaw the puff pastry. Soak the rolls in warm water, peel the onion. Rinse the bell peppers, clean and deseed them, and dice them finely. Peel the salami and dice it, grate the mushrooms, and slice them. Heat the oil and fry the onion. Add the bell peppers, salami, and mushrooms and sauté until the liquid has evaporated. Season with salt, pepper, and pizza seasoning and let cool. Squeeze the excess liquid out of the rolls, mix with the minced meat, eggs, and vegetables. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Grease a 26cm springform pan. Stack half of the puff pastry sheets on top of each other and roll them out into a round shape (30cm in diameter). Line the pan with the dough, pulling up the edges. Spread the minced meat mixture over the dough. Stack the remaining puff pastry sheets on top of each other, roll them out slightly larger than the pan, and place them over the filling. Press down any excess edges. Cut a hole in the center of the lid and brush it with beaten egg yolk. Bake the cake for about 50 minutes. Garnish with herbs before serving, if desired.
