Ingredients for 10 servings:
- 1,000 g minced meat, mixed or beef
- 10 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 8 class can/n tomatoes, chunky (approx. 400 g each)
- 3 tbsp thyme, dried
- 3 tbsp oregano, dried
- 2 tsp basil, dried
- 800 g creamy sheep’s cheese
- 3 cups of cream
- salt and pepper
- possibly sugar
- n. B. Oil for frying
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 8 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 9 hours 15 minutes
Important: The soup must sit overnight! A great party soup.
Brown the minced meat in oil. Briefly fry the chopped garlic. Add the chopped tomatoes, oregano, thyme, and basil and simmer until the tomatoes are cooked through. Remove the soup from the heat and let it stand overnight. The next day, reheat the soup, stir in the cream, and crumble in the feta cheese. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Serve with flatbread.
