Tyrolean Cake
The perfect tyrolean cake recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 250 g Soft butter
- 150 g Sugar
- 1 packet Vanilla sugar
- 6 Eggs (separate)
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 lemon Lemon peel
- 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
- 200 g Ground almonds
- 200 g Dark chocolate sprinkles / rasps
- 125 g Flour type 405
- 1 packet Baking powder
- Preheat oven with hot air 170 degrees. Grease the cake pan well and sprinkle with breadcrumbs.
- Preparation:
- Separate eggs. Beat egg whites with a pinch of salt to make firm egg whites.
- Beat the butter until frothy. Gradually stir together the sugar and vanilla sugar. Gradually stir in the egg yolks.
- Add ground almonds and stir in the grated zest of lemon, cinnamon and chocolate sprinkles.
- Mix flour with baking powder. Fold everything in with the whipped egg whites.
- Pour the dough into the greased cake tin.
- Bake in the preheated oven for approx. 50-60 minutes.
- Let the baked cake cool well.
- Decorate with cake icing or sprinkle with powdered sugar.
- Totally tasty and super juicy.
