Tyrolean Cheese Dumplings
The perfect tyrolean cheese dumplings recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 500 g Bread cubes
- 3 piece Onion chopped depending on the size
- 6 piece Free range eggs
- 250 ml Milk
- 1 bunch Chopped parsley
- Salt and pepper from the mill, freshly grated nutmeg
- 100 g Butter
- Oil for baking
- 350 g Cheese I prefer mountain cheese
- In a pan, the finely chopped onion is sautéed with the butter, then left to cool.
- Put the bread cubes in a bowl and add milk, eggs, onion, parsley, salt, pepper and nutmeg to taste and mix well.
- Add the grated cheese to the mixture. Stir a few times and let rest. (20 minutes)
- Now patties are formed with wet hands.
- Let the oil in the pan get hot and fry the patties in it until golden brown, turning several times. (On a low setting, each side approx. 8 min.) Drain on kitchen paper.
- Then put the cheese dumplings in the prepared soup as a soup insert. With chives on top.
- They also taste great with salad
