Ugli – The Citrus Fruit Convinces With Inner Values

The ugli is a citrus fruit and (also called tangelo or the “ugly one”) was created by crossing tangerine, grapefruit, and orange. The surface of their yellow-green to orange skin is rather uneven. But it can be easily removed.

Origin

Jamaica.

Taste

The juicy pulp with few seeds has a fresh, slightly sweet note and varies in color from yellow to pink.

Use

Uglis can be used like oranges: squeezed fruit makes a refreshing juice. The fruit can also be peeled, divided into individual boats, and eaten fresh, or alternatively simply scooped out.
