Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 300 g flour
- 150 g powdered sugar
- 125 g honey
- 75 g butter
- 50 g brown sugar
- 2 tsp, levelled cinnamon – sugar (flavored sugar)
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 1 pinch of lemon peel
- 1 pinch allspice, ground
- 1 pinch of cardamom powder
- 3 drops of rum flavoring
- 1 bottle of flavoring (orange flavor)
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 2 tsp gingerbread spice
- 1 tsp cinnamon powder
- 1 large egg(s)
- 2 tbsp orange juice
- 1 tsp flavoring (flavoring sugar “sugar rum”)

Aromatic honey cake sticks with a delicious glaze – quick, easy, simply delicious!
Heat the honey with butter, brown sugar, vanilla sugar, and cinnamon sugar in a saucepan, stirring constantly until the butter has melted. Combine the flour with the baking powder, lemon zest, allspice, cardamom, cinnamon, gingerbread spice, 1/2 bottle of orange flavoring, and rum flavoring. Place the honey-butter mixture and egg in the center and whisk until a smooth dough forms. Briefly knead by hand and wrap in foil to chill for at least 1 hour. Preheat the oven to 175°C (top/bottom heat) and line baking sheets with parchment paper. Divide the dough into 4 pieces. Form each quarter into a log, halving each half again if necessary. Roll each log into a long rope approximately 1 cm in diameter. Cut 10 cm ropes and place them on the baking sheet. Bake for approximately 7-8 minutes. Repeat with the remaining dough. Let the logs cool. Combine the powdered sugar with the remaining half of the orange flavoring, the orange juice, and a little “Rum Sugar” flavoring sugar, and stir to form a thick glaze. Decorate the bars in a wave pattern and sprinkle with flavoring sugar, if desired. Allow to set and store in the tin.
