Vanilla cane sugar with tonka beans

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g cane sugar
  • 1 vanilla pod(s), dried and scraped
  • ½ tonka bean(s), of which the abrasion

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Rest period approx. 14 days; Total time approx. 14 days 5 minutes

for a 250 ml glass

Measure the sugar into an airtight container or jar. Add the halved vanilla pod and the tonka bean zest. Mix everything well and seal the container. After two weeks, the sugar is ready to use. The longer it sits, the more aromatic it becomes. The vanilla pod can be left in. Suitable for dried, used vanilla pods, a great gift idea or souvenir, and great for flavoring baked goods.
