Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 290 g flour
  • 240 g butter or margarine
  • 80 g cornstarch
  • 75 g sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 4 ml butter-vanilla flavoring, quantity corresponds to 1/2 tube
  • 50 g powdered sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 45 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 40 minutes

Knead all ingredients in a bowl, then cover and refrigerate for about 45 minutes. Preheat the oven to 170°C (340°F). Meanwhile, shape the dough into small balls, then into croissants. Place them on two baking sheets. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes each. Then let the croissants cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar or roll in powdered sugar.
