Ingredients for 12 servings:

  • 150 g butter
  • 225 g flour
  • 125 g powdered sugar
  • 5 drops butter-vanilla flavoring
  • ½ vanilla pod(s), pulp

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Preheat the oven to 175°C. Sift flour into a bowl and knead in the butter. Knead in the powdered sugar, flavoring, and vanilla seeds until a dough forms. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 2 cm thick and cut out about 12 hearts using a large heart-shaped cutter. Place the hearts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. After baking, transfer to a wire rack to cool and dust with powdered sugar.
