- 100 g sour cherries from the jar
- 50 g sour cherry juice from the jar
- 20 g sugar
- 1 small cinnamon stick(s)
- ½ tsp cornstarch
- 160 g Schupfnudeln from the refrigerated section
- 5 g butter
- 1 bag of vanilla sugar
- 10 g powdered sugar

Weigh the cherries, place them in a saucepan with the sugar, cinnamon stick, and cherry juice, and heat. Blend the cornstarch with 1 tablespoon of cherry juice until smooth, then mix with the cherries. Bring to a boil briefly, stir well, and set aside. Heat the butter in a non-stick pan, add the dumplings, and fry until golden brown. Sprinkle the vanilla sugar and powdered sugar over the dumplings and let them caramelize briefly. Arrange the dumplings on a platter and dust with powdered sugar. Place the cherry compote in a small bowl, garnish, and serve. 615 kcal per serving
