Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1,200 g veal, shredded
  • 5 tbsp soy sauce, dark
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp cognac
  • some clarified butter
  • Salt
  • Paprika powder, sweet
  • pepper
  • herbal salt
  • 250 g onion(s), cut into rings
  • 250 ml meat broth
  • 200 ml red wine

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

with soy sauce

Marinate the shredded meat overnight in soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce (best done in a freezer bag). Then brown the meat with the marinade in hot clarified butter, sprinkle with pepper, herb salt, and paprika, stir, and remove. Sauté the onion rings in the pan juices until translucent, then season with salt and pepper. Deglaze with wine, cognac, and stock, and simmer everything, including the meat, over low heat until the meat is tender. Serve with rice or mashed potatoes.
