Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 250 g broccoli
- 300 g wholemeal flour, e.g. spelt or wholemeal wheat flour
- 2 tsp salt
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes
Cook the cleaned and finely chopped broccoli, then puree it with a hand blender. Add flour and salt and knead until a firm, homogenous ball of dough has formed. Let it cool slightly. Meanwhile, bring lightly salted water to a boil in a large pot. Use regular household scissors to cut small to medium-sized pieces from the dough ball and drop them into the boiling water. You can also form strands of the dough and then cut them off, or make gnocchi out of them—the sky’s the limit. Let it cook for 5 minutes, then drain through a sieve and rinse with cold water. If you like, you can also fry it in a pan afterwards. Enjoy with a sauce of your choice. Note: Pasta is very popular with children and is a great way to get green vegetables more popular.
