Vegan gyros with parsley and onions

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 200 g soy medallions
  • 500 g onion(s)
  • 100 g parsley
  • 250 ml water
  • some salt
  • some pepper
  • some garlic granules
  • some gyros spice

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Soak the medallions in hot, salted water for about 10 minutes. They should absorb the water. After soaking, cut the medallions into thin strips. Peel the onions and also cut them into strips. Sear the medallions until almost golden brown. Add the onions and cook until golden brown. Meanwhile, season generously with salt, gyro seasoning, pepper, and garlic. Stir the coarsely chopped parsley into the hot strips before serving.
