Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 large carrot(s)
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce, dark
  • ½ tsp smoked salt
  • 1 nori sheet
  • 600 ml water
  • e.g. lemon juice
  • n. B. Dill

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

quick and easy

Peel or rinse the carrot thoroughly, then cut it into thin strips using a peeler. Combine water, soy sauce, smoked salt, the nori sheet, and a little lemon juice, if desired, in a pot and heat. Simmer the carrots with the lid on for 20 minutes. Drain the carrot strips slightly and sprinkle with a pinch of smoked salt. Quick and easy to make, great for a vegan brunch. Delicious on rolls with vegan crème fraîche or as a sushi filling. The smoked salt gives the carrot strips a smoky aroma, and the nori sheet gives them a sea-like flavor. Of course, the taste isn’t exactly comparable to smoked salmon, but it’s a close approximation and a vegan alternative.
