Vegan sweet tarte flambée with apples and raisins

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 pack of tarte flambée dough from the refrigerated section
  • 1 cup of crème fraîche, vegan or oat cuisine
  • 2 large apples
  • 3 tbsp, heaped raisins
  • 2 dl apple juice or rum or amaretto
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • some cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp walnuts
  • 1 tbsp psyllium husks or chia seeds, optional

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 6 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 6 hours 35 minutes

A few hours in advance, soak the raisins in apple juice or alcohol and a little cinnamon and let it sit. Preheat the oven to 220°C (top/bottom heat). Roll out the tarte flambée dough (I always enlarge it with a rolling pin). Dice the apples and, if desired, drizzle with lemon juice to prevent them from browning. Stir the drained raisins, a little cinnamon, and sugar, into the vegan crème fraîche and spread it on the dough base. Since the oat cuisine is quite runny, we thicken it 15 minutes before use with 1 tablespoon of psyllium husks or chia seeds. Spread the apples and chopped walnuts over the crème fraîche. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon, if desired. Place in the oven on the middle rack for about 14 minutes. We’re thrilled with this vegan variation!
