Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 m.-sized potatoes, mainly waxy
  • 1 large tomato(s)
  • 1 bell pepper(s), green
  • 1 small onion(s)
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 cup of cream
  • ½ pack of cheese, grated
  • salt and pepper
  • nutmeg
  • Spice(s) of your choice

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

with fresh tomatoes and peppers

Peel the potatoes and pre-boil for about 15 minutes. Rinse well and slice. Wash the tomatoes and peppers, then slice or strip them. Fry the onion into rings. Layer a baking dish with potato slices, alternating with tomatoes, onions, and peppers. Sprinkle cheese between each layer of potatoes. For a moist finish, whisk the egg with the cream and season. Finally, pour the cream mixture over the entire casserole and sprinkle with a final layer of cheese. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (400°F) for 40 minutes.
