Vegetable stew with beef

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg vegetables (Kaisergemüse), frozen
  • 500 g soup meat, beef
  • 1 kg potatoes
  • 1 small bunch of spring onions
  • ½ liter of water
  • 2 cubes of stock, fat
  • Salt
  • pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 40 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours

Cut the beef into bite-sized cubes and fry briefly to develop a roasted flavor. Add water and stock cubes and simmer for 30 minutes. Add the peeled, diced potatoes and greens, along with the finely chopped spring onions. Bring to a boil and simmer for half an hour, until the vegetables and potatoes are tender, and the meat is cooked through. Season with salt and pepper.
