Vegetarian: Kaiserschmarrn

The perfect vegetarian: kaiserschmarrn recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 100 g Flour
  • 4 Eggs
  • 150 ml Milk
  • 1 Vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 50 g Raisins
  • Rum
  • 4 El Sugar
  • Powdered sugar
  • 4 Tl Butter
  1. Mix the flour with milk and a pinch of salt. Now separate the eggs and add the yolks and stir well. Let rest for half an hour. Put the raisins in the rum.
  2. Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt and vanilla sugar until stiff, add to the flour mixture and fold in.
  3. Put some butter in the pan and pour in a ladle of the batter, sprinkle a few raisins on top and fry until light brown, then sprinkle sugar on top and turn it over. Let it caramelize briefly and tear it up with 2 forks, put it on the plate and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
