Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 sausages (venison sausage – deer, roe deer or wild boar) or mixed
  • 100 g bacon
  • 250 ml milk
  • 1 onion(s) (butcher’s onions), cut into rings
  • some salt and pepper
  • some cornstarch

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Cut the bacon into small cubes and fry until crispy. Remove and set aside. Sauté the sliced ​​onion in the same pan. Remove and set aside. Fry the sausages in the same pan until tender. Meanwhile, heat the milk, but do not let it boil. Add the bacon cubes to the milk and season the sauce to taste, then thicken with cornstarch. Serve and scatter the onion rings over the sauce. Serve with mashed potatoes or spaetzle.
